Nokia Reading arrived this month for Lumia handsets on Windows Phone, and offers a great reading experience, but comes with one big downside - you can only access it on Lumia Windows Phones. That means that unlike say Amazon which you can read everywhere, Nokia Reading is a Lumia-only affair, so take this into account before buying books.

Songify for Android makes everything you say into a song. What?s not to love about this? Plus, it comes supported by the Gregory Brothers, and in case you don?t know who they are, you?d better head on to Google fast.
3. Photosynth - Windows Phone - Free
Photosynth is a 360-degree panorama app for Windows Phone. It?s an original Microsoft development so it definitely comes with the promise of quality. Plus, it?s super fun browsing a huge image both horizontally and vertically.
4. The Daily for iPhone - Free
The Daily has been one of the best news sources on the iPad, and now it?s arrived on iPhone as well. If you?ve subscribed for the iPad version, your subscription automatically carries over. And without you still get some content, but not all of it. The app is beautiful and well designed for touch - swiping left and right takes you to different categories of news, and you also have the usual social network integration.
5. The Photo Cookbook - iOS - $4.99
The Photo Cookbook takes the simple idea that reading recipes would be easier if you could actually see the ingredients and their quantity, and polishes it to perfection. For $4.99 you get a somewhat limited, but visually perfect way to look at recipes and make the baby steps towards an Iron Chef future.
6. Quick Graph - iOS - Free
Quick Graph is not exactly new for May, but it?s undergone an update so big we felt it?s right to make an exception and put it in this category. Plus, Quick Graph is probably the best graphing calculator for iOS, and it?s completely free.
7. Camera Splash FX - Android - Free
Camera Splash FX is one of those neat little photo editing apps you want to have around to make your photos shine with little or no effort. It turns a part of the image black and white leaving the rest vibrantly colorful. It?s free on Android.
8. VicMan Visage Lab - iOS - Free
VicMan Visage Lab is an app that we first found hard to believe will perform as good as advertized. It?s basically a one-stop shop for making great portrait photos, polishing our faces with some magic and making them seem better than they are in real life.
9. Facebook Camera - iOS - Free
Just recently, Facebook acquired Instagram but this doesn?t stop it from releasing its own very similar in functionality Facebook Camera app free on iOS. With a deep integration with the social network, the app offers an easy way to update your filtered artsy photos.
10. LinkedIn - Windows Phone - Free
The social network for professionals has finally arrived on Windows Phone in May 2012, and that?s good news for all job seekers or head hunters using a WP device. The application is of course free on the Marketplace.
11. Printy - iPhone - $0.99
Here?s a simple concept - take any picture, turn it into a sketch and print it for your kid to colorize. Printy does exactly that and is surprisingly good at it. Plus, it costs only a buck.
